Political Comms is a high-volume political SMS/MMS platform used by campaigns, agencies, PACs, nonprofits, and advocacy organizations nationwide. We support mission-critical messaging at scale with fast onboarding, transparent workflows, and industry-leading performance, especially during high-pressure election cycles.

We're expanding our engineering team and looking for driven, high-integrity builders who want ownership, impact, and a front-row seat to a rapidly scaling political technology platform.

The Role

We're hiring a Software Engineer to build and scale the platform behind high-volume political messaging. You'll work across our web application, APIs, and AI-powered features, shipping product that campaigns and organizations rely on during their highest-stakes moments.

This is a hands-on, full-stack role with real ownership. You work directly with leadership, help shape technical direction, and see your work reach production quickly.

What You'll Do

Build Product

  • Ship features across the full stack, from the user interface to backend services
  • Design and build APIs that power messaging, reporting, and client workflows
  • Own features end to end, from idea to production

Build With AI

  • Build product features powered by large language models
  • Bring AI into workflows across the product and internal tooling
  • Prototype quickly and turn promising ideas into reliable features

Scale & Reliability

  • Keep the platform fast, reliable, and secure under heavy load
  • Work with cloud infrastructure to support the platform at scale
  • Improve tooling, testing, and deployment so the team ships with confidence

Who You Are

Required

  • Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills
  • Experience building and shipping full-stack web applications
  • Hands-on experience building with AI and large language models
  • Strong experience designing, building, and integrating APIs
  • Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, such as AWS
  • Comfortable working with databases and backend services
  • Able to move quickly and own features end to end

Nice to Have

  • Experience building AI-powered products in production
  • Familiarity with high-volume, data-heavy, or event-driven systems
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy environments
  • Interest in politics, advocacy, or civic technology
